StarQuest Corporate Overview

StarQuest provides Internet infrastructure solutions for linking IBM enterprise customers to the Web. We develop and market a family of data connectivity products for Windows-based and UNIX applications accessing IBM host resources on mainframe and midrange systems.

StarQuest has a strategic relationship with Cisco Systems. An active member of The Open Group, an IT industry consortium for promoting open technologies, StarQuest is a founding member of The Open Group's Database Interoperability Workgroup. This group is responsible for the adoption of DRDA as an industry standard for database interoperability.

StarQuest products utilize open standards for compatibility. StarQuest technology takes advantages of DRDA protocol standards and is compatible with any application and/or development tool that supports Microsoft's Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC) application programming interface and UNIX applications. The StarSQL ODBC-enabled driver is architected to run solely on client systems and eliminates the need for proprietary gateways or host applications.

Products

StarQuest's flagship product, StarSQL provides a robust, efficient and cost-effective connectivity solution for the enterprise. StarQuest products provide performance, ease of use, seamless connection, reliability, security, and open standards compatibility.

StarSQL for Java — provides fast, direct access to IBM DB2 relational databases from any Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) compliant application.

StarPipes — TCP/IP access to IBM databases

StarQuest Data Replicator — robust and efficient bi-directional snapshot replication of data between IBM DB2, Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases.

Client Access for UNIX OS — UNIX-based workstation access to AS/400 data and applications

Flexible licensing is available for all StarQuest products.

Markets
StarQuest markets its products to large corporate IBM enterprise customers looking to share data on an enterprise-wide or departmental level. These users operate within Microsoft Windows and UNIX environments.
