StarQuest announces availability of v3.6 of SQDR Plus. SQDR Plus for iSeries includes enhancements for HA (High Availability) environments. The new release of SQDR Plus for UDB supports incremental replication from IBM's new DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows v9.7. StarQuest announces availability of v5.52 of the StarSQL database driver which extends 64-bit support to UNIX platforms, including Linux, Solaris, HP-UX & FreeBSD. StarSQL for Linux & UNIX now includes ODBCConfig, the unixODBC driver manager graphical interface for configuring data sources. StarQuest announces availability of v2.5 of the StarSQL for Java database driver. The new release of the StarSQL JDBC driver adds support for Apache Derby (JavaDB) databases, support for DB2 v9 zOS and i5/OS V6R1, enhanced UNICODE support, improved buffer management and parsing, and improved exception handling..

StarQuest announces availability of v3.4 of the StarQuest Data Replicator (SQDR) and SQDR Plus for iSeries. The new release of SQDR provides support for Windows Vista and Windows 2008 and the new release of SQDR Plus for iSeries supports incremental replication from IBM's new V6R1 release for the i5/OS platform. StarQuest announces availability of v5.3 of the StarSQL ODBC software driver. This version supports the latest versions of the DB2 database management system in addition to the latest client operating systems, such as Windows Vista. StarSQL v5.3 also provides enhanced National Language Support for East Asian languages.

StarQuest announces availability of v3.3 of the SQDR StarQuest Data Replicator solution. New features include support for incremental replication from DB2 UDB for Linux, UNIX, and Windows databases, "real-time" mirroring, and a centralized "publish" function that allows an administrator to manage which database tables can be replicated.

May 2006

SQDR 3.2 and SQDR Plus for iSeries 3.2 were released, offering enhancements to our incremental replication support, including improved performance, enhanced installation and management, and the use of OS/400 v5r4 as a source database.

August 2005

StarQuest Data Replicator 3.10 was released to support incremental replication from OS/400 when used with SQDR Plus for iSeries.

February 2005

StarSQL 5.20 included support for DB2 UDB for z/OS v8, and UNIX support added FreeBSD.

December 2004

SQDR 3.0 added replication of additional schema objects (indexes, views, and foreign constraints), subscription groups, and enhanced logging and error reporting. In addition, the architecture of SQDR has been redesigned in preparation for some exciting new features.

StarSQL for Java 2.2 offered improved performance, support for DB2 UDB for z/OS v8, support for additional character sets, and many other enhancements.

June 2004

StarSQL 5.12 added wider support for UNIX and Linux, including HP-UX 11.

StarSQL for Java 2.1 offered support for Version 3.0 of the JDBC API, and included UDTs (User Defined Types), scrollable cursors, improved logging and trace facilities and SSL support.

StarSQL for iSeries and StarSQL/iSeries for Java are attractively priced packages for customers needing access only to IBM iSeries (AS/400) databases.

StarSQL for UDB and StarSQL/UDB for Java are attractively priced packages for customers needing access only to IBM DB2 UDB databases running on Windows and UNIX.

April 2004

SQDR 2.5 was a major revision of the StarQuest Data Replicator. It added support for LOB data, any-to-any replication, and multi-row fetch for improved performance. It also added support for MSDE 2000 as the control database, eliminating the need for SQL Server in some scenarios.

February 2004

StarSQL 5.1 included enhanced catalog support for DB2 for OS/390 v6 and v7, OS/400 V5R2, and DB2 UDB 8.1.

October 2003

StarSQL 5.0 added support for LOB data, user and password encryption, and improved support for two-phase commit transactions.

StarSQL for Java 2.0 added support for J2EE and the JDBC 2.0 API, including Data Source and transaction support.

Client Access for UNIX was made available for Linux platforms. In addition, tn5250 device naming support was added to both ca5250 and xca5250, as well as Star5250 for Windows.

StarLicense simplifies and unifies license management for all StarQuest products. The StarLicense server runs on Windows or UNIX platforms.

StarSQL 4.2 was the first StarQuest product to take advantage of StarLicense. Other StarQuest products soon followed.

SQDR 2.0 added support for Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

October 2002

StarPipes for iSeries 3.0 added support for OS/400 v5r1 and later.

September 2002

StarSQL 4.10 ushered in a new era of support and enhancements for the flagship ODBC driver.

StarSQL for Java 1.1, a type 4 native Java JDBC driver designed for performance and reliability, was released.

June 2002

The StarQuest product line returns home to StarQuest Ventures, Inc. from Level 8 Systems.
