StarQuest Data Replicator Plus

The StarQuest Data Replicator (SQDR) product efficiently replicates data between IBM DB2, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases, providing necessary data integration for Internet and intranet publishing and electronic commerce, data warehousing and data mining. SQDR directly enables these solutions through robust and efficient bi-directional snapshot replication of data.

StarQuest now offers the separately licensed component, SQDR Plus, to provide incremental data replication support for SQDR users. SQDR Plus is currently available for IBM iSeries, including the new IBM i 6.1 (i5/OS V6R1), and for IBM DB2 UDB for Linux, UNIX and Windows.

Benefits

SQDR Plus is the solution of choice for companies who need real-time data replication and database synchronization. The significant benefits that SQDR Plus provides are:

  • High performance and efficiency—incremental replication copies only the data that has changed, which significantly reduces the amount of data that is transferred compared to snapshot replication.
  • "Real-time" mirroring - SQDR and SQDR Plus can now be configured so that subscribers receive updates almost instantaneously after they are committed on the source database.
  • Comprehensive statistics and easy-to-use graphical interface and Wizards.
  • Enterprise-level security, allowing only operations that are permitted by the operating system, database system, and network.
  • Ability to replicate what you want, when you want, with horizontal and vertical partitioning and flexible subscription scheduling.
  • Flexibility in choosing which unique identifier —a Relative Record Number, a unique index or primary key —is used to replicate changes to the target database.
  • Centralized "publish" control, allowing an administrator to restrict which database tables can be subscribed to for replication.
