System Requirements

StarSQL for Java runs on any system with a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) that is equivalent to that contained in the Java Development Kit (JDK) or the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) v1.3.x or later.

Host Connectivity
StarSQL for Java can use any of the following networks for host connectivity:

• TCP/IP
• StarPipes

Host Databases
StarSQL for Java can connect to any of the following host databases using native DRDA over TCP/IP support:

• DB2 for OS/390 v5.1 and later
• DB2 for VM & VSE) v6.1 and later
• DB2/400 (OS/400) v4r2 and later
• DB2 Universal Database v6.1 and later for UNIX, OS/2 and Windows NT.
